<p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>STAGE 6: BUSINESS STUDIES &#43; HSIE 7-10</strong></p> <p><strong>12 month Initial full-time Contract, thereafter permanent following standard procedures</strong></p> <p><strong>To commence Term 1, 2020</strong></p> <p><em>St. Mark’s is a high achieving K-12 co-educational college, based on the Gospel values of the Coptic Orthodox tradition, located at Wattle Grove in South West Sydney (2 minutes from the Heathcote Rd Exit on M5).</em></p> <p><em>The successful applicant must demonstrate proven and exemplary teaching and learning environments that actively engage their students towards further developing their knowledge and skills in HSIE Courses, uphold the Ethos of the College and actively participate in the Co-curricular life of the College. Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to successfully teach HSIE Courses, with a particular strength in Stage 6 Business Studies. </em><br /></p> <p><em>All candidates are required to show how they have met the following criteria:</em><br /></p> <p><strong><em>Selection Criteria</em></strong><em> </em></p> <ol><li><em>Describe how you as a classroom practitioner, can incorporate innovative pedagogy into your teaching of HSIE Courses</em></li><li><em>Give examples of how you possess a strong knowledge of NESA curriculum, HSC assessment practices and marking processes, including developments with Australian curriculum implementation in NSW</em></li><li><em>Briefly outline your experience in inspiring and supporting fellow teachers, and for building a sense of community within a department</em></li><li><em>Outline your understanding and obligations of child protection when working within a school</em></li><li><em>Give an example of an ongoing commitment to professional learning, including making a contribution to the broader educational community</em></li></ol> <p><strong><em>You will also need:</em></strong><br /></p> <ul><li><em>a current Working With Children Check approval number to be included with an expiry date shown</em></li><li><em>Approval/NESA Accreditation to teach in a NSW school</em><em>.</em></li></ul> <p><strong><em>To apply:</em></strong><em> </em><br /></p> <p><em>Applicants are to be practicing Christians and are to email their Application and CV to the Head of College, ensuring the Selection Criteria has been completed to:  recruit&#64;stmarks.nsw.edu.au by 7 February 2020.</em></p> <p><em>Please include 3 Referees when sending applications, a Parish Priest or Pastor reference is also required and may be one of the three referees listed.  All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
