We are looking for an individual who is passionate and will be responsible for ensuring the quality of service delivered to our participants, particularly in relation to safeguarding practices, Positive Behaviour Support and implementation of safe and positive strategies across programs. This position works collaboratively with staff to provide guidance, support and coaching on the development of comprehensive individual planning, support and risk management plans and takes an active role in the implementation and achievement of these plans to ensure compliance.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This is a 12 month maximum term contract position ideally for full time position or consideration may be given for 2 part time positions.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><em>If&nbsp;you share&nbsp;our passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum and are&nbsp;interested in finding out about future opportunities &ndash; please read on!!</em></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>About Aspect Choose and Connect:&nbsp;</strong>Employs over 200 support workers and leadership staff and delivers services which are person-centred, flexible, responsive and evidence-informed for individuals on the autism spectrum. This role will see you building and nurturing connections in Choose and Connect base sites and community environments with participants and providing support to all staff to drive high quality services.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What do we offer?</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">A competitive salary package (including attractive and tax effective salary packaging benefits)</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Comprehensive&nbsp;support and supervision to ensure you are best skilled to make a difference in your new role</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Interesting and varied work in a wide client group</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Excellent internal and external professional development opportunities</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Your manager will support your individual learning needs</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">&nbsp;<strong>What will you bring to the role?</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Relevant certificate, diploma or degree or substantial years of relevant experience in the area of disability services</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Minimum 3 years experience in a management or supervisory position</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Minimum 5 years experience supporting individuals with autism or other disabilities</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Working knowledge of the Quality &amp; Safeguards Commission, state/territory RPA processes and NDIS Practice Standards</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Sound knowledge of person centred and human rights based approaches</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Extensive and practical experience in working with adults with disabilities</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong administrative and organisational skills and strong user of systems such as CMS, Q&amp;SC Portal, DCJ Portal, Riskman, etc.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Demonstrated experience in meeting the needs and wants of people with disabilities</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Excellent communication skills, both written and oral</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Personal effectiveness - integrity, initiative, flexibility/adaptability, sensitivity, resilience, able to tolerate stress and demonstrate attention to detail</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to meet time frames and deadlines in an appropriate manner</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to resolve problems, perform routine and/or complex duties, and organise work in an efficient and effective manner</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to be flexible, innovative and show initiative in service delivery and support and supervision of staff</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Able to work in a dynamic and changing environment</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Sensitivity to the needs and aspirations of people with disability and their families</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><a href="https://applynow.net.au/jobs/ASPECT1098/assets/12804230" target="_blank">Click here to view the Position Profile</a>&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Current relevant state Working With Children Check for paid employment. You will require a clearance as part of the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme (DWES) (required in Victoria only) and&nbsp;a National Police Check clearance, Aspect will arrange this.&nbsp;Completion of the mandatory NDIS Worker Orientation Module &lsquo;Quality, Safety and You&rsquo; is also required.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/support-for-workers/training-course">If you have not already completed the module, click here to access it.</a>&nbsp;You may also be required to provide an International Police Check.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What we offer:&nbsp;</strong>As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), Aspect employees receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities including $15,899 each year tax free.
