The College is seeking a Mathematics Teacher (Years 7-12) for a 12 month fixed-term contract in 2020.

<p>The College is seeking a Mathematics Teacher (Years 7-12) for a 12 month fixed-term contract in 2020. The role of the subject teacher is to develop engaging and challenging curriculum and positive relationships with boys to enhance learning outcomes. The main responsibilities of the position include:</p><p>Provide opportunities to engage students in a variety of learning experiences where students are encouraged and supported in achieving personal excellence. </p><ul><li>Provide students with a positive role model through their actions as a committed Catholic educator. </li><li>Be able to assist students with individual and group work in accordance with the work requirements outlined in course of studies.</li><li>Assist the Key Learning Leaders in reviewing, designing and developing curriculum. </li><li>Work as part of a team of Faculty and/or College based staff.</li><li>Work as part of the teaching staff at St Bernard’s College.</li><li>Other tasks as directed by the Key Learning Leader’s and Deputy Principal. </li><li>Be involved in our extensive extra-curricular program.</li></ul><p>The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification and demonstrate the following competencies: </p><ul><li>Extensive experience teaching senior Mathematic subjects from years 7 to VCE;</li><li>Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education;</li><li>Understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school;</li><li>Experience within a Catholic educational organisation an advantage.</li></ul><p>Please complete an online application located on the College website Closing date for applications is <b>Monday 27 January 2020</b>.  <br /></p><p><i>The College is committed to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, including those with a disability and cultural diverse backgrounds.  </i> </p><p>· </p><p><br /></p>
