<p>Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Cabramatta is seeking an innovative and dynamic Reading Recovery Teacher for our Catholic Primary School.</p><p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, and dedicated educators who have a passion for Literacy and are able to work collaboratively within a team to provide a quality authentic education to meet the needs of our students.</p><p>The successful applicant will have:</p><ul><li>a sound knowledge of and commitment to the Evangelising Mission of the Catholic Church within Catholic Education</li><li>a deep understanding of how children learn and the principles of contemporary pedagogy</li><li>proficiency in the use and integration of contemporary technology</li></ul><p>The successful applicant must be <b>trained as a reading Recovery Teacher</b> OR <b>willing to commit to Reading Recovery training and to work in that role for a minimum of 2 years.</b></p><p>As a Reading Recovery Teacher you will be responsible for:</p><ul><li>selecting Year 1 students who meet the criteria of the program</li><li>teaching a designated number of students daily</li><li>communicating regularly with the school’s leadership team, literacy team and class teachers</li><li>contributing to the development and operation of a school team to manage the implementation of Reading Recovery</li><li>communicating with the parents of Reading Recovery students</li><li>submitting data to the Reading Recovery Tutor Team via the Reading Recovery database</li><li>keeping an annual register of Reading Recovery students.</li></ul><p>Applications must address the criteria listed above in a cover letter, include a curriculum vitae and contact details of two educational referees.</p><p><br /></p>
