<p>Eileen O’Connor Catholic College, Lewisham is a co-educational primary and secondary Sydney Catholic Schools college. The college opened in 2016 to meet the needs of students with moderate intellectual disability and other complex learning needs. In 2020 the college will have an enrolment of approximately 100 students in Kindergarten to Year 12 at the Lewisham campus. In future years the College will have an Early Intervention Centre, a Centre for Professional Learning and a network of network primary and secondary classes in Sydney Archdiocesan schools and colleges. This class will enrol 6-8 students with moderate intellectual disability and other complex learning needs,  with a teacher and Learning Support Officer, with access to speech and occupational therapy services and teaching and learning programs based on the EOCC Authentic for Learning for Life pedagogical framework. <br /></p><p>We are seeking casual teachers with knowledge and insights in special needs education. <br /></p><p>The successful applicants would need to demonstrate:</p><p>A knowledge of and commitment to the mission of the Catholic school;</p><p>Expertise in primary education;</p><p>Passion, specific knowledge and proven experience in catering for students with special needs;</p><p>Knowledge and skills in using technology to support learning;</p><p>The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community;</p><p>Registration to teach with NESA and Sydney Catholic Schools;</p><p>Qualifications and accreditation to teach Religious Education in Sydney Catholic Schools would be desirable (a Parish Priest reference is required).</p><p><br /></p>
