NGC is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational, special assistance school offering a Years 9 to 12 HSC program with a trade focus. We are a nurturing and enterprising learning environment for young people who have not found success in a mainstream setting.

<p>We are recruiting innovative, passionate and engaging staff who have a strong passion for pastoral care and working with young people experiencing barriers to their education. NGC staff must be able to think outside the box, roll up their sleeves, and create amazing learning experiences for our students.</p><p><br />This role is to train students in SIT20316 Certificate II Hospitality as part of the Stage 6 VET pathway. You will also be providing Stage 5 student with enterprise learning skills within the Hospitality environment (non-accredited). Classroom experience is essential and the ability to be flexible in your approach is necessary. </p><p><br />Duties:<br />•    Deliver SIT20316 Cert II Hospitality to students in a classroom and simulated workplace environment<br />•    Gather evidence and complete all administration to assist students gain their qualification outcome<br />•    Organise and maintain documentation on learners&#39; needs<br />•    A strong focus on quality service delivery with a resolved commitment </p><p><br />Essential Criteria:<br />•    Tertiary qualified and accredited to teach in NSW<br />•    Relevant qualifications and experience within the Hospitality industry <br />•    Recent industry experience within the Hospitality industry <br />•    TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment<br />•    Organisational skills as well as the ability to plan your time effectively<br />•    Able to follow WHS policies and procedures as well as other workplace policies <br />•    Strong problem-solving skills <br />•    Competent in computers, administration, and presentation skills, and the ability to manage complex situations<br />•    Professional knowledge of education, VET and how an RTO operates</p><p><br />To be successful in your application for this position you will be:<br />•    an active and visible participant in the fast-paced, dynamic life of our school.<br />•    a contemporary and forward-thinking educator with a passion for Aboriginal culture<br />•    strong links to industry and an understanding of the hospitality syllabus <br />•    a team player with strong organisation and computing skills<br />•    Personable with a flair for highly effective written and verbal communication at all levels<br />•    Most importantly: a passionate and experienced advocate for students with diverse needs.</p><p><br />Graduates and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.<br /><br /></p>
