The College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person for the role of Business Manager. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO/Principal and through the CEO/Principal to the College Board.

St Mary Star of the Sea College is a Good Samaritan Education girls’ school for students from Years 7 to 12 located in Wollongong. The College is a technology-rich school which encourages innovation and creativity through its IB Middle Years Program (Years 7-10), promoting Catholic Christian values through its high standard of pastoral care, and a strong commitment to collaborative teaching and learning. The College has a student population of 1100 girls and 140 staff made up of teaching and administration staff. Applications are invited for the position of Business Manager for immediate commencement. <div> </div><div><br /></div><div>The College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person for the role of Business Manager. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO/Principal and through the CEO/Principal to the College Board. <br /></div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div>The Business Manager leads a team of professional, administrative and support services staff that include an Assistant Accountant as well as staff responsible for debtors, creditors, payroll, maintenance, subcontractors and some administrative and ancillary support services. </div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div>The key accountabilities of the role include, but are not limited to: </div><div>• Planning and management of all aspects of College finances including preparation and management of the annual College budget, debtors, creditors, cash flow, payroll and investments. </div><div>• Reporting: both internally to the CEO/Principal and College Board and externally to funding authorities and other regulatory bodies. </div><div>• Managing risk and compliance. </div><div>• Stewardship of College facilities by management of maintenance, including contractors. </div><div>• Ensuring the provision of high-quality business services to support the implementation of the College strategic plan and the daily work of the College. </div><div>• Strategic planning in regard to College finances, risk and compliance, facilities and resources. </div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div>A commitment to the ethos and mission of St Mary’s College is essential.
