<p>An opportunity exists for a teacher at an innovative, alternative high school in the Blue Mountains (Lawson) area. </p> <p> </p> <p>This is a contract position for 2.5 days per week, (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday until lunchtime), for Terms 1 and 2,  with the potential of developing into a permanent position.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are seeking a reliable secondary teacher with a strong work ethic who is confident in delivering the curriculum for a variety of subjects in Stage 5 (Years 9 &amp;10).</p> <p> </p> <p>Blacktown Youth College - Lawson Campus is a small independent, non-denominational, co-educational high school meeting the educational and social needs of adolescents excluded from, or not coping with, mainstream schooling.  The campus is currently registered and accredited by NESA for Years 9 &amp; 10.</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Essential: </b> Teaching qualifications</p> <p>                   Current NSW Working with Children Check</p> <p>                   Current NESA Institute number</p> <p>                   Willingness to work with challenging teenagers in a small school                       environment</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
