<p>We are seeking an innovative and energetic VET Coordinator (1 point) and Careers Advisor who is qualified to teach in our College in this permanent, full-time position commencing in 2020.</p><p>Applicants are required to nominate areas they are qualified to teach in.</p><p>Bethany currently offers VET options in Hospitality, Business Services, Early Childhood and Entertainment.</p><p><b>Key responsibilities include:</b></p><ul><li>Design innovative service delivery methods for student self-awareness, placement preparation and job readiness to support student completion of qualifications and preparation for time post school </li><li>Produce, update and distribute career resources for students to provide information and knowledge using preferred student channels </li><li>Provide a collaborative, solution-focused approach to our students, and empower them to overcome any obstacles that may impact their ability to study </li><li>Develop, maintain and provide for updated information for teachers, parents and students in relation to requirements for post-secondary study </li><li>Help students transition from compulsory schooling to further education, training and employment <br /></li><li>Develop student knowledge, understanding and experience of opportunities in education, training and employment </li><li>Coordination of VET subjects<br /></li><li>Coordination of EVET subjects</li></ul><p><b>Desirable criteria include:</b></p><ul><li>Certificate IV in VET Training and Assessment</li><li>Proven ability to lead a team</li><li>Knowledge of NESA requirements for VET</li></ul><p>Bethany is a technology-rich school with a Newman Selective Gifted Education Program.
