Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. <p>The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Leader of Learning (TAS) to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.</p> <p>Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.</p> <p><strong>Key focus areas</strong></p> <p>The Leader of Learning (TAS) will fit the following criteria:</p> <p>-Support and implement the goals and values of Catholic education and the strategic priorities of the School.</p> <p>-Demonstrate the highest levels of personal and professional integrity.</p> <p>-Be committed, passionate and knowledgeable about teaching and learning of their subject area.</p> <p>-Be involved in the selection and induction of new staff</p> <p>-Drive the pedagogical vision of the School within the broader educational life of the School.</p> <p>-Lead staff with vision, purpose and a strong commitment to excellence.</p> <p>-Promote and understand the importance of assessment practice, data analysis and feedback to enhance learning.</p> <p>-Prepare students for changing demands of a global community.</p> <p>-Establish a positive relationship with students, their families and the broader community.</p> <p>The Leader of Learning TAS must be an enthusiastic, talented teaching professional to lead the TAS learning area within St Patrick's Marist College.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Position criteria:&nbsp; </strong>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, academic and pastoral dimension of College life.&nbsp;</li> <li>have experience teaching Senior &amp; Junior School TAS</li> <li>have 5 years’ experience teaching the various academic components of the TAS Curriculum</li> <li>See themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning;</li> <li>Work collaboratively with their team of teachers to design&nbsp;inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding;</li> <li>Lead the development of social skills and nurture the&nbsp;growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student;</li> <li>Integrate digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning;</li> <li>Lead and use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for students;</li> <li>Regularly provide your team and students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle;&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrate deep understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin: inquiry-based learning (including PBL); creativity and critical thinking; responses to complex real-world questions and authentic problems;</li> <li>Know and apply NESA and Catholic Education, Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) requirements.</li> <li>Have demonstrated the understanding and application of the whole school policies and procedures concerning WHS and student welfare.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p>Catholic Education within the Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment in its primary and secondary schools and for early learning and out of school hours care centres in western Sydney.
