Brigidine College is seeking to appoint an engaging and passionate teacher to join our successful HSIE Faculty. This is a full-time temporary position for the 2020 Academic school year beginning 28 January 2020.

<p>The successful applicant must a desire and commitment to engage students in the love of learning of HSIE.</p><p>Selection Criteria:<br /></p><ul><li>an understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic Church</li><li>an ability to teach Stage 6 Ancient History</li><li>exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective contemporary pedagogies</li><li>excellent classroom management skills</li><li>effective communication skills with students, staff and parents</li><li>a proven ability to work collegially within a faculty</li><li>demonstrate a commitment to growing the College&#39;s culture of learning and thinking</li></ul><p>The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the discipline of History as well as the ability to use this knowledge to challenge students with stimulating and engaging historical questions. An ability to teach HSC Ancient History is essential.</p><p>Brigidine College is a child safe organisation and all statutory checks and references are required prior to confirmation of employment. A NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a National Police Check will be required.</p><p>Brigidine College will require all Teaching Staff to provide evidence of their Tertiary Qualifications and Accreditation with NESA prior to any offer of employment.</p><p>Referees will only be contacted after initial interviews have been carried out.
