<p><b>Applications for this position close: 9.00am Friday 22 November 2019 </b></p><p> Canberra Girls Grammar School (CGGS) is an independent non-selective Anglican school with an enrolment of approximately 1,400 students. </p><p>The School has a strong reputation as a leader in the education of girls. In our Junior Primary years (ELC to Year 3) there is a commitment to the education of both boys and girls and a focus on the explicit teaching of foundation skills in literacy and numeracy. </p><p>Offering a world-class education including the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies, International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, our intent is to develop young students who are well educated and who insist on living ethically and purposely. </p><p><b>Applications are sought for this part time, ongoing position in our Early Learning Centre (ELC) to commence on 24 January 2020. The working hours are 8.00am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday during teacher term time only. </b></p><p> The ELC draws from the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP). Knowledge of the EYLF is fundamental to this role, as is a willingness to embrace the PYP and inquiry based learning. Training and support in the PYP will be provided.   </p><p>_________________________________________________________________________</p><p> The successful applicant will possess a thorough knowledge of early childhood theory and practice, will work well within a team and will be a good communicator.  </p><p> The minimum qualification required is a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Applicants studying towards this qualification may be considered.
