The College is seeking an Sports Administrator to support the Head of Sport and staff at the College with tasks essential to the implementation and enhancement of sport at the College

<p>Located in Manly, Stella Maris College is a Catholic College in the Good Samaritan tradition which recognises and respects the individuality of each person who forms part of the College community. The young women are prepared to meet the demands and challenges of the 21st century.</p><p>We are looking to expand our team of dynamic, experienced professionals who engage with teachers, students and parents to meet the individual learning needs of students. </p><h4>SPORTS ADMINISTRATOR</h4><h4>Temporary part time position</h4><h4>1 year contract</h4><h4>20 hours per week</h4><h4><br /></h4><p>The position requires a person flexible in approach, who is able to work with a range of students and support their individual needs. The Sports Administrator will implement strategies to support students in their sporting development under the guidance and direction of the Head of Sport. The Sports Administrator will need to work independently at times, representing the College at venues where Stella students are competing. </p><p> The Sports Administrator will support the Head of Sport and staff at the College with tasks essential to the implementation and enhancement of Sport at the College. Duties include:</p><ul><li>Work flexible hours (including some out of school hours as negotiated with the Head of Sport) </li><li>Assist with organisation of College carnivals </li><li>Assist with the management and supervision of Co-curricular sport </li><li>Undertake the management and selection of Stella teams, and implementation of Stella teams in the Peninsula Cup Netball and Soccer competitions and Manly Warringah Basketball competition </li><li>Attend sporting carnivals and gala days for various sports </li><li>Assist in the day to day management of the College sporting program </li><li>Implement the organisation of carnivals in the College excursion program </li><li>Write risk assessments for sporting events, including trainings, competitions and gala days </li><li>Fulfil some coaching, management and official duties </li><li>Organise venues, referees and coaches for various sports </li><li>Supervise students at Co-curricular sporting events and College sport days </li><li>Liaise with coaches for various sports </li><li>Attend Sports meetings where necessary </li><li>Manage registration for sports and disseminate the necessary information to parents and students </li><li>Liaise with the Marketing &amp; Communications to publicise outstanding achievements and special events within the College’s sporting program via the preparation of information for the newsletter, website and social media pages </li></ul><p>The position is flexible due to the nature of the role. This will include before school hours (6am departures for sporting events) and after-hours role depending on the sport.</p><p>Essential requirements for the role :<br /></p><ul><li>Teaching qualifications would be an advantage </li><li>Previous experience in a Sports Administration role is highly desirable </li><li>Alignment with values and Catholic ethos of the College </li><li>Enthusiasm and motivation to contribute </li><li>Maintenance of high work standards with minimal supervision </li><li>Flexibility and ability to operate effectively in a changing environment </li><li>Completion of a Working With Children Check for NSW </li><li>Willingness to complete the required induction modules (including Mandatory Reporting and Code of Conduct) and annual compliance training (anaphylaxis and First Aid) </li></ul><p>Applications close 25 November 2019.<br /></p><p>For details on how to apply, visit: www.stellamaris.nsw.edu.au/employment</p>
