The College is seeking an Inclusive Learning Officer (ILO) to work collaboratively with Inclusive Learning staff, students, parents and teachers to meet the individual learning needs of students

<p>Located in Manly, Stella Maris College is a Catholic College in the Good Samaritan tradition which recognises and respects the individuality of each person who forms part of the College community. This community is committed to providing an inclusive education through a variety of quality learning experiences which enhance the Christian development of students in the Benedictine tradition, individual creativity and academic potential. The young women are prepared to meet the demands and challenges of the 21st century.</p><p>We are looking to expand our team of dynamic, experienced professionals who engage with teachers, students and parents to meet the individual learning needs of students. </p><h4>INCLUSIVE LEARNING OFFICER (ILO) </h4><h4>Permanent part time</h4><h4>0.6FTE </h4><h4><br /></h4><p>The position requires a person flexible in approach, who is able to work with a range of students and support their individual needs. The ILO will be able to implement strategies to suit each student under the guidance and direction of the Head of Inclusive Learning. Encouraging students to develop a sense of responsibility towards their own education will be a high priority. ILOs have no direct supervisory duties and in general, are not responsible for students without a teacher being present.</p><p>The ILO supports classroom teachers with tasks essential to support students by:</p><ul><li>Assisting student learning and participation in the College </li><li>Assisting with the implementation of Individual Learning Plan (ILP) </li><li>Facilitating Small Group Learning </li></ul><p>Essential requirements for the role :</p><ul><li>Teaching Alignment with values and Catholic ethos of the College. </li><li>Enthusiasm and motivation to contribute. </li><li>Maintenance of high work standards with minimal supervision. </li><li>Flexibility and ability to operate effectively in a changing environment. </li><li>Completion of a Working With Children Check for NSW. </li><li>Willingness to complete the required induction modules (including Mandatory Reporting and Code of Conduct) and annual compliance training (anaphylaxis and First Aid). </li></ul><p>Applications close 25 November 2019.<br /></p><p>For details on how to apply, visit: www.stellamaris.nsw.edu.au/employment</p>
