We are a collaborative and hard-working community, committed to helping our students grow as enthusiastic, resourceful and self-disciplined learners in a safe and happy Catholic environment, centred firmly on the love of Jesus and living in His way.</p><p>Applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited for this permanent, full-time middle leadership role, which exists to develop and support learning and teaching to serve the needs of students with diverse learning needs and to extend the capacity of all staff to meet these needs.</p><p>The Diverse Learning Needs Coordinator will model and promote contemporary and innovative learning, teaching and assessment and will take responsibility for all aspects of the administration and development of the Diverse Needs area and team, which includes specialist teachers and support staff. This position is directly accountable to the Leader of Learning: Curriculum and the Leader of Learning: Innovation.  </p><p>The Diverse Needs Coordinator will be a member of the Curriculum Team and will support staff in continually developing their professional practice to extend the learning, outcomes and achievement of students with diverse learning needs, from Stages 4 to 6.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Demonstrable support and commitment to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Education</li><li>Demonstrable and sustained success as a classroom teacher, with extensive experience in the full gamut of Diverse Needs</li><li>Tertiary qualifications in Diverse Needs or relevant area</li><li>Proven successful experience in developing and leading a team in a middle management position</li><li>Ability and demonstrated experience in collecting and using a range of evidence to assess, evaluate and improve teaching and learning practices</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate quality relationships in working with all members of staff</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Desirable Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Practising Catholic</li><li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in the Archdiocese of Sydney</li><li>Postgraduate qualifications in Diverse Needs</li><li>Successful experience in a Diverse Needs leadership position</li><li>Proven skills in the use of the Cloudshare learning management system (Drive, Sites, Teacher Dashboard) and Sentral Welfare Database (Personal learning plans, reporting and markbook)</li><li>Willingness to lead and support co-curricular events</li></ul><p><br /></p>
