We are a collaborative and hard-working community, committed to helping our students grow as enthusiastic, resourceful and self-disciplined learners in a safe and happy Catholic environment, centred firmly on the love of Jesus and living in His way.</p><p>The Pastoral Care Coordinator has delegated responsibility for leadership of a cohort of students and their teachers and is supported in the performance of the role by a one-point Assistant Coordinator. The Pastoral Coordinator is directly responsible to the Campus Coordinator and works with the KLA and Pastoral teams to enhance learning outcomes for students.  </p><p>This 2 point leadership position exists to lead, promote and support the learning, care and wellbeing of students, in collaboration with pastoral team members, teachers, support staff, specialist staff and other agencies as necessary. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Ability to effectively contribute to the religious leadership and Catholic life of the College.</li><li>Demonstrable and sustained success as a classroom teacher and in a pastoral care role.</li><li>Proven successful experience in leading, developing and working as part of an effective and collaborative team in a middle management position.</li><li>Experience in working in collaboration with students, their parents, teachers, staff and other support services to maximise student achievement, well-being and learning outcomes.</li><li>Ability to lead a growth based model of student development, integrating learning and wellbeing, based on a positive approach to working with students and their families. Flex</li><li>Evidence of a commitment to building a positive, innovative, successful and resilient Marist school community, dedicated to the improvement of the experiences, lives and opportunities for our students. </li><li>Flexibility to work across a range of year groups and across both campuses.</li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Practicing Catholic </li><li>Relevant postgraduate study or qualifications</li><li>Relevant professional development to this position</li><li>Understanding of and ability to implement Sydney Catholic Schools Pastoral, Wellbeing and Student Management policies, guidelines and procedures</li><li>Experience in implementing restorative justice, procedural fairness and working with families to support their children</li><li>Experience in successful strategic and organisational leadership </li><li>Successful experience in a pastoral care leadership role</li><li>Highly developed personal skills and credibility in building relationships and a sense of community amongst students, parents and staff.</li></ul><p><b>Accountability:</b></p><p>Pastoral Care Coordinators are directly accountable for the performance of their duties in this role to the Campus Coordinator. </p>
