<p>Good Shepherd Hoxton Park is seeking an innovative and dynamic Reading Recovery Teacher for our Catholic Primary School. <br /></p><p> </p><p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, and dedicated educators who have a passion for Literacy and are able to work collaboratively within a team to provide a quality authentic education to meet the needs of our students. </p><p> </p><p> The successful applicant will have: </p><ul><li>a sound knowledge of and commitment to the Evangelising Mission of the Catholic Church within Catholic Education </li><li>Religious Education qualifications according to the SACS Board Policy </li><li>a deep understanding of how children learn and the principles of contemporary pedagogy </li><li>proficiency in the use and integration of contemporary technology </li></ul><p>The successful applicant will be required to commit to Reading Recovery training and to work in that role for a minimum of 2 years. </p><p>  </p><p>As a Reading Recovery Teacher you will be responsible for: </p><ul><li> selecting Year 1 students who meet the criteria of the program </li><li>teaching a designated number of students daily </li><li>communicating regularly with the school’s leadership team, literacy team and class teachers </li><li>contributing to the development and operation of a school team to manage the implementation of Reading Recovery </li><li>communicating with the parents of Reading Recovery students </li><li>submitting data to the Reading Recovery Tutor Team via the Reading Recovery database </li><li>keeping an annual register of Reading Recovery students. </li></ul><p>  </p><p>Applications must address the criteria listed above in a cover letter, include a curriculum vitae and contact details of two educational referees, and a Parish Priest referee.</p>
