Our school is seeking a Part-time (0.75 FTE) EAL/D teacher. The successful applicant will work: • in collaboration with the classroom teachers to deliver high quality learning experiences to our EAL/D students • provide support to teachers to design effective learning sequences for all of the school's EAL/D learners • ensure all of the SCS and Regional administrative requirements are met.
<p>Essential Criteria: </p><p>1. A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of a Catholic school within the broader evangelising mission of the Catholic Church.</p><p>2. Highly credible and skilled K-6 educator with knowledge and skills in contemporary pedagogy for EAL/D learners. </p><p>3. Excellent knowledge of the ESL Scales and EAL/D Learning Progressions. </p><p>4. Knowledge and understanding of the needs of the EAL/D learner and an ability to model highly effective EAL/D pedagogy. </p><p>5. Understanding of, and experience in, using data to inform teaching and learning. </p><p>6. Appropriate qualifications as per SCS Policy, or commitment to undertake the professional learning to gain the qualification. </p><p>7. Highly effective interpersonal and organisational skills and an ability to work collaboratively as a team. </p><p>8. NESA number, WWCC documentation, SALT Compliance Certificate. </p><p>9. Ability to bring joy and passion to the learning environment. </p>
