<p>De La Salle Catholic College Caringbah is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Science Coordinator commencing in 2020. </p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will be committed to the Catholic ethos of the college and utilisation of effective learning and teaching strategies and technologies to enhance 21st century pedagogy. They will also have extensive experience in the education of boys in a secondary environment. </p><p> </p><p>The Science Coordinator oversees the work of faculty members and is responsible for the academic direction, administration and management of the faculty. </p><p> </p><p><b>Essential Criteria </b></p><p> </p><p>• A proven capacity to fulfil the requirements of a middle leader position within a secondary school.<br />• Stage 6 teaching experience.<br />• An exemplary practitioner.<br />• A commitment to academic excellence.</p><p> </p><p><b>Desirable Criteria </b></p><p> </p><p>• Assistant Science Coordinator experience.<br />• Demonstrated ability to develop and plan units of work.<br />• An understanding and knowledge of a variety of assessment techniques.<br />• Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment.<br />• Lead a team to work collaboratively.<br />• Develop strategies to teach with the student at the centre of learning.<br />• Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning, innovation in teaching practice and an enthusiasm for integrating technology in the delivery of learning.<br />• Participate in and lead ongoing professional development aimed at enhancing teaching and learning of students in a modern learning community.<br />• Religious Education teaching credentials, or a willingness to attain.</p><p> </p><p><b>Submission of Application</b></p><p>Applications for the above position should be addressed to Mr Peter Buxton, Principal.
