The School has a strong reputation as a leader in the education of girls. In our Junior Primary years (ELC to Year 3) there is a commitment to the education of both boys and girls and a focus on the explicit teaching of foundation skills in literacy and numeracy. </p><p>Offering a world-class education including the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies, International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, our intent is to develop young students who are well educated and who insist on living ethically and purposely. </p><p>We encourage our students to engage not only in a well-rounded study program but also to participate in the School’s extensive co-curricular program. </p><p><b>Applications are sought for this full time, non-ongoing Early Childhood Teacher position from </b><b>24 January 2020 to 11 December 2020.  </b></p><p> The Early Learning Centre draws from the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP). Knowledge of the EYLF is fundamental to these roles, as is a willingness to embrace the PYP and inquiry based learning. Training and support in the PYP will be provided.   </p><p>_________________________________________________________________________</p><p> The successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher with appropriate Early Childhood tertiary qualifications, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and a sound understanding of early childhood theory and practice.  </p><p> All teaching staff members are expected to take part in the whole life of the School including participation in pastoral care and involvement in co-curricular activities.  </p><p> Eligibility for registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute which includes a Working with Vulnerable People check are conditions of employment.
