The College is seeking an expert Teacher of English committed to excellence across Stages 4-6.
<p>Located in Manly, Stella Maris College is a Catholic College in the Good Samaritan tradition which recognises and respects the individuality of each person who forms part of the College community. </h4><h5>Permanent full time position, starting 2020</h5><p>The College is seeking an expert teacher with a demonstrated commitment to excellence across Stages 4-6. The ability to teach debating and Stage 6 English Standard are required. Creativity and energy in facilitating learning is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively as a member of the English team.</p><p>Criteria for teachers:
</p><ul><li>Have relevant teaching qualifications and meet Child Protection requirements
</li><li>Be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in the classroom
</li><li>Applicants must support the Good Samaritan Benedictine ethos of the College

Stella Maris College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). Established in 2011 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, the mission of Good Samaritan Education is to sustain and nurture our Catholic schools as Good Samaritan Benedictine communities of learning. As a school of Good Samaritan Education, Stella Maris College continues to be guided by the Good Samaritan Philosophy of Education and shaped by its commitment to the values of our spiritual tradition, including stewardship, mutuality, prayer, hospitality, humility, discernment, justice and peace. Strong links with the Sisters are valued and find particular expression in the ongoing support of the schools for the Sisters’ ministries and works.
