<p>St Patrick’s College Sutherland is seeking to appoint an energetic, passionate and experienced teacher of Science to join a highly professional and collaborative team of educators. </p><p>Successful applicants for this position will have a demonstrated record of developing positive relationships with students and a proven capacity to attain excellent results and student growth. </p><p>Essential criteria for successful applicants: </p><p>• A strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, religious, academic and pastoral dimensions of College life </p><p>• Appropriate tertiary qualifications and be approved to teach in NSW </p><p>• Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner </p><p>• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and experience teaching Science with the ability to teach one or more of the following Stage 6 courses – Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental, Chemistry, Extension Science </p><p>• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and experience teaching Religious Education would be an advantage </p><p>• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices </p><p>• A commitment to academic excellence </p><p>• An understanding of and ability to differentiate curriculum and assessment </p><p>• High level communication and interpersonal skills </p><p>• Ability to critically reflect on their own teaching practice </p><p>• A willingness to be involved in the College&#39;s co-curricular activities </p><p>• A current Working with Children Check Number (WWCC). </p><p>Classification to teach in Sydney Catholic Schools </p><p>Applicants for the above position should provide their curriculum vitae as well as a written response to the essential criteria to principal&#64;spcsutherland.catholic.edu.au.  Applicants should supply the names, addresses and phone numbers of 3 (three) referees, including your current and most recent prior principal.  <br /></p><p>Please note that only those applicants who have been successfully in the short-listing process will receive a reply.</p>
