<p>All applications received by the Selection Panel will have met the system criteria. The system criteria are determined by Catholic Education Melbourne and will include:
</p><ul><li> Recent experience in a formally appointed leadership role within a Catholic primary school, e.g. Principal, Deputy Principal, Religious Education Leader, Teaching and Learning Leader
</li><li> Registration as a teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
</li><li> Academic qualifications additional to initial teacher education (Master's degree or five year equivalent)
</li><li> Relevant, appropriate and substantial educational experience,including classroom and leadership positions
</li><li> Relevant experience within the past five (5) years in a Catholic primary school, or currently in a role associated with and supporting Catholic primary schools
</li><li> Supportive Parish Priest reference
</li><li> Declaration of Good Character including non-bankrupt status
</li><li> Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School
</li></ul><p>N.B. Applicants teaching in parish primary schools prior to 1977 are exempt from this last requirement.
