<p>Parramatta Marist High School is a Catholic school with a history and tradition spanning almost 200 years. Since 1875 it has been shaped by the Marist charism, one that flows from a basic trust in God and a desire to follow Christ in the way of Mary. Our pedagogy is based around Project/Problem Based Learning and Flipped Classroom through a collaborative approach in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) and Team-Teaching.</p> <p><strong>Criteria:</strong></p> <p>Applications are invited for the above position from qualified teachers who demonstrate a sincere commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic education and possess appropriate teaching qualifications.</p> <ul><li>Commitment to Catholic education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools through a Marist Charism</li><li>Appropriate qualifications, including Teacher Proficiency, with at least 5 years experience in teaching</li><li>Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of effort, engagement and excellence through the development of a positive, supportive student environment and related structures</li><li>Enthusiasm for actively providing guidance and promotion of Marist values as well as our pedagogy being based around Project/Problem Based Learning and Flipped Classroom to the student body</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to successfully liaise with students, staff, parents and relevant organisations to provide opportunities for our students</li><li>Commitment to a change culture and openness to diverse student structures</li></ul> <p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p>Catholic Education within the Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment in its primary and secondary schools and for early learning and out of school hours care centres in western Sydney.
