<p>Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) is a community of thirty-eight schools and colleges with 2,500 staff supporting over 16,000 students.</p>
<p>The Tasmanian Catholic Education Office (TCEO) is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates, who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic education, and are willing to support Catholic belief and practice.</p>
<p>Education Officers provide advice and support to CET schools and build capacity of educators to improve outcomes for students. Education Officers implement policies, practices and programs that aim to increase capacity of key staff to support students to achieve successful outcomes. The role incorporates a collaborative approach across TCEO teams, school personnel and the broader CET community.</p>
<p>Whilst this role is accountable for contributing to the capacity building of educators to improve the learning outcomes for students, the successful candidates will be required to demonstrate:</p>
<ul>
<li>key capabilities within the particular specialisation</li>
<li>ability to support leadership teams to develop leaders and key teachers to build teacher capacity aligned to the domains of the AITSL Professional Standards for teachers</li>
<li>ability to deliver informed direction, advice and support to schools in relation to national, local and system priorities for curriculum implementation and quality learning and teaching</li>
</ul>
<p>The successful candidate will be required to hold current registration to teach in Tasmania prior to commencement.</p>
