A career opportunity as an Early Childhood or Primary Classroom Teacher is available for commencement in 2020. The Early Childhood and Primary Classroom Teacher will report to their relevant Head of Year and work collaboratively with the Head of Primary, Head of Early Childhood and Dean of Studies Primary to deliver an outstanding teaching programme and experience for the primary students within the School. The classroom teacher will: • Teach the ACARA curriculum as required. • Work in collaboration with staff teams to ensure optimum student learning. • Participate actively in the school’s extracurricular program. • Demonstrate a commitment to consistent professional learning. • Make a positive contribution to the culture and ethos of the school.

<p><b>Essential Criteria: </b><br /><b></b></p><p>• Qualified practising teacher with a high level, relevant qualification in Primary or Early Childhood education. </p><p>• Experience in and understanding of the ACARA curriculum. </p><p>• Ability to plan and deliver programs which are inclusive of second language learners. A willingness to support EAL students by requiring recognised qualifications is required. </p><p>• Ability to teach students from diverse backgrounds. </p><p>• Highly developed ICT skills and an ability to use technology as an integral part of teaching and learning. </p><p>• Effective communication skills with a wide range of groups and individuals – including colleagues, parents, students and members of the wider community. </p><p>• Ability to work effectively as a member of small and large teams. </p><p>• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills. </p><p>• Behaves ethically, reflects positivity, demonstrates a growth mindset and contributes to the school’s ethos and community life. </p><p>• Actively support the school’s Putonghua programme. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><br /></p>
