<p><b>Teaching Allocation:</b><br /></p><p>Classroom teaching according to staff holding positions of leadership required teaching allocation: currently 18 periods of administration time release and 30 periods of teaching. </p><p> </p><p><b>Essential Criteria: </b></p><p>• Qualified practising teacher with high level qualifications in Special Needs or Learning Support education. </p><p>• Successful teacher of students from diverse backgrounds and experience in planning and delivering programs which are inclusive of second language learners. </p><p>• Demonstrated ability to model excellent classroom practice and contemporary pedagogy. Currency with research and practice in the area is expected. </p><p>• Excellent knowledge of Australian curriculum and its appropriate integration across the year levels. </p><p>• Highly developed skills in facilitating learning. </p><p>• Proven ability to work effectively with teachers in a leadership capacity. </p><p>• Effective communication skills with a wide range of groups and individuals – including colleagues, parents, students and members of the wider community. </p><p>• Proven ability to lead a team of learning support teachers, assistants and volunteers. </p><p>• Highly developed ICT skills and an ability to use technology as an integral part of teaching and learning. </p><p>• Enthusiastic, positive and energetic attitude. </p><p>• Demonstrate a commitment to consistent professional development. </p><p>• Willingness to make a positive contribution to the culture and ethos of the school. </p><p><br /></p>
