St Dominic’s College, Penrith is a Catholic school in the Blessed Edmund Rice tradition conducted by Edmund Rice Education Australia. Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1959, the College has a current enrolment of 1050 boys, Years 7 – 12. <p>The College is looking to appoint a highly motivated, suitably qualified Visual Art teacher to join a dynamic, enthusiastic Visual Arts faculty, beginning Term 3, 2019 for Semester 2 only.</p><p>The role involves face-to-face teaching of Stages 4 and 5, Visual Arts. </p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will be committed to the advancement of student learning and; </p><p>• Must have a strong commitment and/or appreciation of Catholic values, morals and faith. </p><p>• Will be able to provide students with a positive learning environment, utilising strong communication and inter-personal skills. </p><p>• Will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the unique pastoral needs of young men. </p><p>• Must have a strong work ethic and a commitment to ongoing professional development. </p><p> </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Highly desirable criteria:</b><br /></p><p> </p><p>• The ability to teach Visual Arts, with the skills and capacity in leading learning within this domain. </p><p>• High ICT skill set (including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) within a contemporary blended learning environment. </p><p>• Commitment to improving student outcomes with innovative practices. </p><p>• Well-developed interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff and students in enhancing the quality of learning and development of young minds. </p><p>• Be actively involved in, and supportive of, College co-curricular activities.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>Applicants are encouraged to visit the College website <a href="http://www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au</a> for further information about the College.
