<p><b>Monte Sant&#39; Angelo Mercy College is an independent school for girls in years 7 - 12. Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment.</b></p><p>The College is inviting applications for a suitably qualified Head of Learning Enhancement to commence with the College in Term 3, 2019.</p><p>The Head of Learning Enhancement is responsible for the enrichment of all student learning and driving the achievement of the College&#39;s strategic vision and objectives that pertain to the learning and academic development of each student. The role necessitates close collaboration with Heads of Year, Heads of Department and Project Leaders as well as students and parents alike to welcome new and individualised approaches that respond to the learning needs of each student. This role also involves working collaboratively with teaching staff to implement new and evidence-based pedagogical strategies to improve learning outcomes for students.</p><p>The successful candidate will have:</p><ul><li>Thorough knowledge of current directions in pedagogy, intervention, creative and critical thinking and gifted education</li><li>Understanding of NESA/National Curriculum, IB mission and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP)</li><li>Knowledge of assessment models and practices</li><li>Knowledge of current gifted education practices</li><li>Knowledge of educational leadership models</li></ul><p>Successful applicants must be willing to support the Catholic ethos of the College. </p><p><b>Applications close 28 June 2019.</b></p><p><i>Child protection legislation requires preferred applicants to be subject to an employment screening.</i></p>
