The Children’s Hospital Education Research Institute (CHERI) is seeking to employ a passionate and experienced primary school teacher who is a native French speaker. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing educational support to children from New Caledonia diagnosed with cancer or having a cancer-like treatment regime at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Treatment occurs as an in-patient of the hospital as well as an out-patient. Children and their parents often spend up to one year away from their school and home in New Caledonia.  <br /></p><p>The Children’s Hospital Education Research Institute (CHERI) is seeking to employ a passionate and experienced primary school teacher who is a native French speaker. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing educational support to children from New Caledonia diagnosed with cancer or having a cancer-like treatment regime at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. The majority of students will be in their primary years of schooling however some may be older or younger.      </p><p>The teacher will be employed for 8 hours per week for 12 months (possibility of renewal).  The teacher will design and implement learning activities to keep children connected to their learning and school community in New Caledonia.
