<p><b>Monte Sant&#39; Angelo Mercy College is an independent school for girls in years 7 - 12. Established in 1875 by the Sisters of Mercy, Monte has a proud tradition of commitment to the Catholic faith, academic achievement and cultural endeavour. Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment.</b></p><p>The College is seeking an outstanding qualified Facilities Manager for this important role.</p><p>The Facilities Manager is responsible for:</p><ul><li>Managing the operations and maintenance of the College&#39;s facilities, including buildings, infrastructure, services, plant/machinery and grounds.</li><li>High level involvement in the major and special capital projects of the College to meet the needs of the College&#39;s building and development program and long-term goals.</li><li>Ensuring the optimal availability of facilities to meet the College&#39;s operational needs.</li><li>Maintaining the compliance, condition and appearance of facilities to an high standard of quality and safety.</li></ul><p>The College&#39;s facilities comprising significant buildings, grounds and gardens are utilised from 6.30am to 10.00pm on weekdays, with some weekend use. The College employs a team of general Facilities Officers and external contractors to support its ongoing maintenance and operational needs.</p><p>The successful applicant will be a person who demonstrates:</p><ul><li>Strong skills and experience in managing a team</li><li>Knowledge of facilities management principles, terminology and legislative requirements in an education environment</li><li>Effective communication skills to negotiate and liaise with staff and contractors and to handle sensitive and confidential information in an effective manner</li><li>Understanding of the proactive care and protection of campus, facilities, assets and resources</li><li>Has relevant qualifications</li><li>Is willing to support the Catholic ethos of the College</li></ul><p><b>Applications close 5 April 2019</b></p><p><i>Child Protection legislation requires preferred applicants to provide a valid Working with Children Check number.</i></p>
