<h4>Permanent Fulltime Position (Unaveraged - work in school holidays)<br />76  Hours per Fortnight</h4><h5><br /></h5><p>Mount St Joseph Milperra is seeking to appoint a Grounds &amp; Maintenance Officer who is accountable for undertaking general and routine grounds and maintenance work to ensure a clean, orderly, safe and instructionally supportive physical College environment that enables enhanced student learning outcomes.</p><p>The Grounds &amp; Maintenance Officer is responsible to the Business Manager.</p><p><b>Responsibilities of Role</b></p><p><b>Enhance students learning outcomes through a proven ability to:</b></p><ul><li>prioritise and complete allocated work plan in accordance with College requirements</li><li>assist with cleaning and repairs as a result of student accidents; extreme weather; or acts of vandalism</li><li>plan and organise workflow to accomplish established objectives</li><li>follow chemical usage and storage procedures</li><li>move items of furniture and classroom supplies around the College</li><li>set up furniture and equipment for sporting and special events at the College</li><li>complete daily security routines (including school lockup and setting of alarm system) and safety inspections of College grounds and equipment</li><li>promote a positive image of the College in all interactions</li><li>support other teams during peak loads</li></ul><p><b>Maintain College:</b></p><ul><li>minor repairs of furniture and equipment</li><li>minor repairs to buildings as required including plastering, painting and basic carpentry</li></ul><p><b>Maintain Gardens &amp; Grounds through:</b><br /></p><ul><li>undertaking planting, pruning, fertilising, watering, mulching and weeding of garden areas</li><li>undertaking mowing, watering, fertilising, aeration, repair and  re-sowing</li><li>maintaining quadrangles, concrete and paved areas by regular sweeping, blower vacuuming, debris and rubbish removal, high-pressure cleaning and hosing.</li></ul>
