<p>Applications to be directed to </p><p>St Luke&#39;s Catholic School is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced learning support officer for five days per week. </p><p> </p><p>A commitment to the Catholic ethos is essential. There is also the requirement to work effectively as a team member</p><p> </p><p>Essential criteria: </p><p> </p><p>Minimum qualification of Certificate lll in Education Support </p><p>Current WWCC Certificate </p><p>Registered to work in Sydney Catholic Schools </p><p>Skills required: <br /></p><p> </p><p>Ability to work with a team of Learning Support personnel </p><p>Ability to instruct small groups and/or individual students in basic skills when necessary </p><p>Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly when conversing with students and teachers </p><p>Demonstrates initiative</p><p>Ability to work autonomously with students and use discretion and judgement when planning, organising and achieving outcomes within time restraints </p><p>Ability to redirect students into appropriate behaviours during activities as necessary </p><p>Ability to use ICT effectively</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Typical duties and tasks include, but are not limited to: <br /></p><p> Assisting individual children with academic, social, emotional, or behavioural skills that are needed </p><p>Assisting learning in the classroom under the direction of a teacher </p><p>Nurturing students to achieve their goals</p>
