<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified, highly motivated and innovative part time (0.6 FTE) <b>English teacher</b> with excellent organisational skills and a passion for Catholic education in the Edmund Rice tradition. Experience teaching <b>Religious Education</b> is preferable. The position is on an ongoing basis and will commence in <b>Term 2, 2019</b>.</p><p> The main responsibilities of the position include:</p><ul><li>Provide opportunities to engage students in a variety of learning experiences where students are encouraged and supported in achieving personal excellence. </li><li>Provide students with a positive role model through their actions as a committed Catholic educator. </li><li>To assist students with individual and group work in accordance with the work requirements outlined in course of studies.</li><li>Assist the Key Learning Leaders in reviewing, designing and developing curriculum. </li><li>Work as part of a team of Faculty and/or College based staff.</li><li>Work as part of the teaching staff at St Bernard’s College.</li><li>Other tasks as directed by the Key Learning Leader’s and Deputy Principal. </li><li>Be involved in our extensive extra-curricular program.</li></ul><p>The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification and demonstrate the following competencies: </p><ul><li>Experience teaching English and Religious Education;<br /></li><li>Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education;</li><li>Understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school;</li><li>Experience within a Catholic educational organisation an advantage.</li></ul><p> Please complete the online application form by clicking on the ‘Apply Now’ button.  </p><p>Applications close Wednesday 20 March 2019.</p><p><i> The College is committed to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, including those with a disability and cultural diverse backgrounds</i>.   </p><p><br /></p>
