<p><b><u>Essential Selection Criteria </u></b></p><ul><li>A passion for teaching children and commitment to raising the standard of achievement</li><li>Understand the explicit teaching model</li><li>Be familiar with current theory and best practice in Literacy and Numeracy </li><li> Strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li>An ability to manage time with developed organisational skills <br /></li><li>NESA accreditation and a current NSW Working with Children Check <br /></li><li>A willingness to support the College’s Statement of Faith and school ethos <br /></li><li>Have effective interpersonal skills and be prepared to work collaboratively as a member of a team <br /></li><li>Competent in the use of ICT and effective pedagogies <br /></li><li>Demonstrate creative and innovative teaching practices to provide a rich learning environment that acknowledges the different learning styles of children <br /></li><li>Be willing to contribute to the broader aspects of school life, outside of the classroom </li></ul><p><u><b>Desirable: </b></u></p><ul><li>Experience in teaching Year 2 or lower primary</li><li>Experience in LNAP <br /></li><li>Knowledge of the Explicit Teaching Model<br /></li></ul>
