The College is seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Officer with the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the functions and operations of the Facilities and Maintenance Department to ensure all facilities of the College are well presented and maintained to a high standard, including responsibility for the security of College buildings and management of procurement of capital works and equipment.

<p><b><u>Key Responsibilities </u></b></p><p> The Facilities and Maintenance Officer is responsible to the Principal for operational property and maintenance matters, including security, overseeing of cleaners, day-today property and equipment maintenance, capital works projects and the general care of all grounds and facilities.    </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><b><u>Key Functions </u></b></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>Manage the campus facilities in support of the requirements of the College. </li><li>Ensure all WHS practices and procedures are implemented and followed at all times.<br /></li><li>Ensure the safety of all students and staff.<br /></li><li>Coordinate and provide property and maintenance services.<br /></li><li>Ensure the campus presents as an attractive environment.<br /></li><li>Maintain facilities, equipment and services needed to provide high-quality education throughout the College.<br /></li><li>Operate within the guidelines of practical budgeting and value for money procurement processes.<br /></li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><b><u>Personal Attributes to carry out the role </u></b></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>Demonstrated multi-skilled handyperson ability, and the ability to take a hands-on role approach. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and capacity to coordinate facilities staff and volunteers.<br /></li><li>Awareness of and the ability to embed WHS practices and procedures.<br /></li><li>Demonstrated ability to arrange and provide oversight of contractors.<br /></li><li>Demonstrated ability to use and learn maintenance related computer systems. <br /></li></ul>
