Undertake maintenance &amp; repair work to the school building &amp; grounds to ensure it is a safe environment for the school community.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Ensure building systems &amp; machines run smoothly e.g. air conditioning, pumps</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Undertake repair/maintenance work as required to school buildings e.g. replacing locks, windows &amp; light bulbs, patching holes, woodwork repairs</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Perform routine maintenance of equipment</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Estimate repair costs &amp; document repairs undertaken</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Handle, store &amp; distribute goods/materials</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Move equipment/furniture as required</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Upkeep school grounds e.g. mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, disposing of litter</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Assist with school improvements e.g. fencing, paving, gardening projects</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Complete daily grounds maintenance reports</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Train new employees in grounds keeping duties</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Drive school vehicles as required</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Skills, experience &amp; qualifications:</span></span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Experience in general maintenance of grounds/buildings</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Knowledge of electrical, plumbing &amp; general trade maintenance</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Understanding of machinery/equipment operation relating to building maintenance</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Excellent communication skills</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Trade background is desirable</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Current NSW driver’s licence &amp; use of own vehicle</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Current NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>What we offer:&nbsp;</strong>As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), Aspect employees receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities including $15,899 each year tax free.
