<p>Sydney Catholic Schools is responsible for the leadership, efficient operation and management of the systemic schools which educate around 71,000 students in 152 parish primary and regional secondary schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney. </p><ul><li><b>Sydney Catholic Schools, Eastern Region Office</b></li><li><b>Commencement Date: To be negotiated</b></li><li><b>Closing Date:  5 March 2019 </b></li></ul><p>As a senior leader in a Catholic School System, the Regional Leader of Learning works within a collaborative multidisciplinary team to support schools provide high quality educational outcomes for all students.</p><p>The role is significant in contributing to the continuous improvement of our Catholic Schools through building the capacity of teachers to deliver quality learning and teaching for students with Diverse Learning Needs within the context of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. The Regional Leader of Learning is called to support the three leadership functions: leadership, teaching and wellbeing and will bring a specific expertise to at least one of these critical areas. The Regional Leader of Learning works in partnership with the school and will at times be called upon to be coach, mentor, or facilitator in accordance with the discerned needs of the school community.</p><p>The role requires a flexible adaptable leader who has the capacity to work in a variety of ways  with school leadership teams, learning support teams and teachers for sustainable improvements in student outcomes.</p><p><b>Selection Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Engagement and contribution to the life and mission of the Catholic Church.</li><li>Post graduate qualifications in Special Education.</li><li>Depth of knowledge, understanding and substantial experience teaching and working with students with Diverse Learning Needs (Disability, Twice Exceptionalities and Giftedness).</li><li>Demonstrated effectiveness as a teacher and experience as a middle leader or equivalent role within education K-12.</li><li>Depth of understanding and high level capacity to strategically respond to the educational needs of students with complex disability.</li><li>Works as a member and contributes to a multi-faceted and/or multi-disciplinary team.</li><li>Depth of knowledge, understanding and experience in undertaking processes associated with the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).</li><li>Evidence of working with staff in accordance with adult learning principles.</li><li>Evidence of working effectively to achieve sustained change and innovation within an area of responsibility.</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to select and support appropriate school improvement processes based on data analysis.</li><li>A comprehensively insured motor vehicle is essential for this position and travel costs are reimbursed according to Sydney Catholic Schools policy.</li></ul><p><b>APPLICATION PROCESS</b></p><p>Applicants are required to fill out the <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/SCS-Office-Application-Form.pdf" rel="nofollow">SCS Application Form</a> together with a covering letter and forward to hr.recruitment&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au</p><p>Job description:<a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1miBGN-jQapO6gSCH3djXTzmITgIncaRM/view?usp&#61;sharing" rel="nofollow"> Click here</a></p><p><b>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</b></p><p>This role is classified as a child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p>
