<p>St John&#39;s Catholic College is a safe, connected, learning community for local, boarding and international students. We strive for excellence and ensure the holistic development of each student through a balanced approach to faith, academic, sporting and cultural activities.</p><p>The College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced teacher to the position of Acting Inclusion Support Coordinator to cover a staff member on maternity leave. The position commences Monday 22 July, 2019 and concludes on Friday 13 December, 2019. Please note that this position involves approximately 0.5 FTE teaching / 0.5 FTE coordination (dependent on funding).  </p><p><b>Essential Criteria: </b></p><p>1. A demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission. </p><p>2. Ability to plan, prepare and deliver teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students; which are consistent with relevant curriculum policies, work programs and education trends. </p><p>3. Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment, to establish a challenging learning environment in which students are encouraged to work towards attainment of their potential. </p><p>4. Ability to communicate effectively with students, their families and the wider community through appropriate interpersonal skills. </p><p>5. Ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to establishing and maintaining a supportive learning environment. </p><p>6. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with school staff, parents and members of the local school community in order to establish and develop productive partnerships, in an intercultural environment to achieve optimal educational outcomes. </p><p>7. Commitment to maintain current and relevant professional learning and meet the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. </p><p>8. Registration for the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory.</p><p>9. Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).</p><p><b>Highly Desired Criteria:</b></p><p>1. Formal qualifications in the area of Inclusive / Special Education. </p><p>2. Qualifications and/or experience in working with students from an EALD background. </p><p>3. Experience coordinating, developing and implementing a collaborative approach to Education Adjustment Plans for students with a range of additional needs. </p><p>4. Knowledge, understanding and capacity to manage the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process. </p><p>5. Knowledge, understanding and capacity to manage the data collection, funding application and request for service process to maximise support for students with additional needs (Catholic Education Northern Territory’s INSPIRE system). </p><p>6.
