We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Secondary English Teacher with a genuine love of English, literature and learning for a job share partnership.

<p>At St Patrick&#39;s College, we believe the study of English is fundamental to fostering our students’ understanding of themselves and the world. Our vision is to inspire and motivate students&#39; love of literature and language and to challenge and engage our students to appreciate, enjoy and reflect on the English language and make meaning in ways that are imaginative, creative, interpretive, critical and powerful. </p><p><b>Part time (0.4 FTE) temporary position commencing on or after 29 January 2019 and concluding 13 December 2019. </b></p><p>We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Secondary English Teacher with a genuine love of English, literature and learning for a job share partnership. </p><p>You will be committed to the achievement of excellence as a classroom teacher; a strong collaborator; and, confident in effective pedagogy and classroom management. With a thorough content knowledge and mastery of the curriculum, you will be someone who has proven success in delivering the best possible teaching practices and learning experiences. </p><p>To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate you satisfy all of the following essential selection criteria: </p><p><b>Essential Criteria </b></p><ul><li>A working understanding of, and commitment to the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition. </li><li>Qualified to teach English - Stage 4 to Stage 6. </li><li>Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner. </li><li>Experience in differentiation of curriculum. </li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Postgraduate qualifications (in leadership, education, religious education or theology). </li><li>Previous experience in delivering Stage 6 English Extension 1 and 2 courses. </li></ul><p>To express your interest in joining our highly motivated professional teaching staff, please apply in writing.
