<p><strong>Catholic Education Office Northern Territory at Berrimah, NT</strong></p><p><strong>Salary: $116,453 &#43; Super p.a</strong></p><p><strong>Immediate Start</strong></p><p><strong>2 Year Contract with the possibility of extension.</strong></p><p>Catholic Education is seeking a curriculum specialist to support teachers in our primary schools across the Northern Territory. You will be based at our Catholic Education Office in Berrimah where you will be part of our highly motivated Teaching and Learning Team. This job involves travel across the Territory and into remote locations.</p><p><b>Job tasks and responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Assist school staffs to develop appropriate pedagogical skills for teachers by providing professional learning opportunities that respond to the needs of schools and students together with system requirements. </li><li>Provide professional support for teachers in aligning planning and programming for the Australian Curriculum. </li><li>Support classroom teachers and support staff in Indigenous Catholic Community Schools and urban schools to interpret and respond to student data to improve learning outcomes across the curriculum. </li><li>Assist Principals and teaching staff with the development of best-practice approaches to curriculum, school organisation and student management. </li><li>Maintain professional contacts with other education providers in support of cross-sectoral agreements and projects. </li><li>Act as a resource to guide schools in accessing programs and government initiatives and resources.</li></ul><p><b> Selection Criteria </b></p><ul><li> Willingness to support the culture and Catholic ethos of the Catholic Education Office.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of current trends and developments in Primary curriculum and pedagogy.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and review curriculum and pedagogical initiatives at classroom and school level, working effectively with leadership and school staff.</li><li>Highly developed organisational, analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Capacity to support schools with analysis of data to inform teaching and the determining of strategic direction.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with schools to facilitate staff Professional Learning.
