The first function of the Learning Support Assistant is to be an effective member of a collaborative team of colleagues who work to put student learning and wellbeing first.
The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) collaborates with The Inclusive Education Coordinator and classroom teachers to improve learning pathways for individual students. The LSA may work directly with students with additional needs or provide support that allows a classroom teacher to work more closely with the student.
<p><br /></p><p><b>2019 school year</b></p><p><b>Selection Criteria </b><br /></p><ul><li>Experience supporting students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect</li><li> An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education</li><li>Excellent communication and organisational skills</li><li> Demonstrated proficiency in web-based applications found in the contemporary school setting</li><li> Demonstrated proficiency in Google Apps for Education</li><li> High level document production and database skills</li><li> High level analysis and problem-solving skills</li><li> A bias for action and improvement</li><li> An ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to staff professional culture</li></ul><p>Salary: Level 4/1: 27.56 per hour (averaged)<br /></p><p>Please submit a resume and cover letter addressing the selection criteria.
