<p><strong>Permanent position - 30hrs per fortnight</strong></p><p>We are seeking to employ an experienced, committed and energetic Laboratory Assistant to support our Science Department, servicing our 6 laboratories.<br /></p> <p>We are committed to providing a first-class science education for our students, therefore, the applicant will be required to contribute to the effective operation of the College Science Department by:<br /></p> <p> <strong>Supporting the teaching/learning processes of the Science Department</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Providing administrative support within the Science Department</strong></li><li><strong>Managing the resource requirements of the Science Department</strong></li></ul> <p>Experience in the following is essential:<br /></p> <ul><li>preparation for teacher demonstrations and practical lessons</li><li>preparation and management of chemical solutions</li><li>working knowledge of the GHS</li><li>working knowledge of Google applications</li><li>maintenance of departmental records and resource files, including MSDS sheets</li><li>carrying out in-house repairs of apparatus/basic equipment, where practicable</li><li>ordering of laboratory supplies and new equipment</li></ul> <p>A commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school is essential.</p> <p>The usual provisions of registration and the Child Protection Act apply.</p> <p>Applications with curriculum vitae with two (2) referees should be submitted to principal&#64;spcsutherland.catholic.edu.au<br /></p>
