St Joseph’s Catholic School is situated in Queenstown, a mining and tourist town on the rugged West Coast of Tasmania in a region of significant natural beauty and historical importance. An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Catholic educator to lead this established Kindergarten to Grade 6 school, boasting modern facilities which support learning and teaching in the 21st century. Whilst the role will consist of requisite education leadership accountabilities the successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate: * an explicit commitment to, and well-developed capacity to take forward the mission of the Catholic Church * exceptional interpersonal skills and highly adaptable communication skills to strengthen positive relationships within the school, parish and extended community * locally visible, passionate and actively engaged leadership which advocates and celebrates the school within the broader community * vision, energy and strategic thinking that engages the entire community to deliver improved outcomes for the students * contemporary educational strategies for staff and student development through the use of remote technologies * a focus on wellbeing and pastoral care of staff to support workforce sustainability and high expectations in regional school settings Applications are sought from suitably qualified candidates who hold or can gain registration to teach in Tasmania prior to commencement and have the right to work in Australia.
