<p>St Joseph's Primary School, Taree&nbsp;is seeking a Temporary Part Time (0.75FTE Monday - Thursday) Teacher Librarian&nbsp;to join the team for the remainder of 2024.<br><br>St Joseph’s Primary School, Taree is a unique school community that celebrates and appreciates the rich cultural diversity of its students.<br>Surrounded by a picturesque, bushland setting on several hectares of carefully maintained park-like grounds, St Joseph's enjoys strong links between the school and broader community.<br>St Joseph’s provides flexible learning environments allowing for both collaborative and personalised learning so students can reach their full potential.<br><br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/5505/position_description_-_cso_-_teacher_librarian_-_primary.pdf" target="_blank"><strong><br><br><head3><b>POSITION DESCRIPTION</b></head3></strong></a></p><p>The role of the Teacher Librarian is to</p><ul><li>Provide engaging learning experiences for students </li><li>Manage information and resources </li><li>Support and drive contemporary teaching and learning ensuring that learning in the library is contemporary, inquiry based, rich in thinking and technology </li><li>Work in collaboration with the school’s leadership team and with the CSO Digital Innovation and Learning team to act as a catalyst for change and build teacher capacity to improve student outcomes </li><li>through the use of resource management time:</li><li>to manage the library, facilitate and develop the library space and resources, both physical and digital, supported by the School Officer/Library Assistant</li><li>to collaborate with classroom teachers in developing contemporary teaching to ensure that curriculum is delivered more effectively for the benefit of students </li></ul><p>The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes. The teacher will acknowledge and agree to the requirement to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
