In the Learning Support role for K-6, you will play a crucial role in supporting the diverse learning needs of children. You will collaborate with our teaching staff to design support for children who require adjustments, to implement tailored strategies, providing one-on-one or small group support, and contributing to the development of inclusive classroom practices.

<p>Learning Support Role for K-6 at Kinma School </p><p>Are you passionate about child centred education and seeking an enriching role in a unique setting? Our small primary school nestled in the heart of the bush is looking for a dedicated Learning Support professional to join our dynamic team for a temporary 12 month part-time position for three days a week, most likely Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (can be flexible with days). </p><p>About Kinma: Kinma embraces a progressive style of education that emphasises child centred learning, critical and creative thinking, and holistic development. We prioritise relationships to understand children’s needs and how to best support their learning and growth. </p><p>The Role: In the Learning Support role for K-6, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the academic and personal development of our students. You will work closely with our teaching staff to support students who require additional assistance due to learning challenges or individualized needs. This role involves collaborating with teachers to implement tailored strategies, providing one-on-one or small group support, and contributing to the development of inclusive classroom practices. </p><p>Some responsibilities would include: </p><p>• Implementation and support of inclusive practices. </p><p>• Overseeing and implementing programs and processes to support students with diverse learning needs e.g. Multi Lit, Sounds Write programs. </p><p>• Assist with the identification of children with additional learning and behavioural needs. </p><p>• Plan and implement curriculum differentiation for specific children and support teaching staff to do this as well. </p><p>• Overseeing and implementing the reviewing and creating of Individual Learning Plans and Learning Profiles for individual children. </p><p>• Skilled and committed to working with students through a positive approach to behaviour management </p><p>• Contribute to the provision of staff professional development and parent education programs. </p><p>• Contribute to the preparation of documentation required under legislation in line with privacy, confidentiality, and disability obligations, for example, pre-enrolment documentation, and assist in the preparation of submissions for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD). </p><p>What We&#39;re Looking For: </p><p>• A passionate and empathetic individual committed to supporting students&#39; growth and development. </p><p>• Experience working in with primary school-aged children especially supporting children with additional needs. </p><p>• An understanding of inclusive education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs. </p><p>• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals. </p><p>• Flexibility, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. </p><p>Qualifications and accreditation: </p><p>• a Tertiary qualification in Education </p><p>• eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) </p><p>Application Process: </p><p>If you&#39;re excited about the prospect of working in a progressive primary school in the bush and believe you have the skills and passion for this role, we would love to hear from you.
