<p><b>Status</b>: Full Time Position </p><p><b>Commencement</b>: Term 2 2024 </p><p><b>Position Location</b>: Burgmann Anglican School, 4 The Valley Avenue, Gungahlin ACT </p><p>Burgmann Anglican School is an Early Childhood to Year 12 School with campuses located at Gungahlin and Forde. </p><p> </p><p>The school prides itself on its innovative and creative approach to curriculum and education and its strong sense of community and pastoral care of the students and their families and the staff of the school. The school has a strong link with the Gungahlin Anglican Church which shares facilities and resources with the school.<br /></p><p><b>LINE MANAGEMENT </b></p><p>This position will be responsible to the Head of Junior School and ultimately the Principal. The appointee will be required work collaboratively with a Year Level Team. </p><p><b>DUTIES </b></p><p>• Cooperatively plan and deliver, with the other year level teachers, a program of learning </p><p>• Take responsibility for the pastoral and academic needs of a class of students </p><p>• Work with the Enrichment teachers to develop differentiated class programs which address students varied academic needs </p><p>• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities </p><p>• Interact professionally with parents to provide formal and informal feedback on their child&#39;s progress at school </p><p>• Participate in the school’s co-curricular program which may include after school or weekend activities </p><p>• Other duties as directed </p><p><b>SELECTION CRITERIA </b></p><p>• A relevant teaching degree and current Teacher Quality Institute registration </p><p>• Demonstrate a passion for effective teaching and learning </p><p>• Experience in the meaningful integration of digital technology </p><p>• Experience in inquiry-based learning </p><p>• Demonstrate skill and experience in outcomes-based planning and assessment </p><p>• Demonstrate skill and understanding in differentiating the curriculum to meet a wide range of learning needs and ability levels </p><p>• Excellent oral and written communication skills </p><p>• An understanding and support of a Christian based education in an Anglican context </p><p>• Willingness to participate in the school’s co-curricular program </p><p>• Interest in, and willingness to explore, innovative practices </p><p>SALARY, TERMS AND CONDITIONS </p><p>The successful applicant will be employed under the Independent Schools ACT Standards Model (Teachers) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021. </p><p><b>THE APPLICATION </b></p><p>Applicants should provide the following documents, via email to: employment&#64;burgmann.act.edu.au </p><p>• Covering letter to the Principal, addressing the criteria listed above and outlining how you would approach the position (no more than 3 pages in length) </p><p>• Curriculum vitae (no more than 4 pages) </p><p>• A copy of your academic transcript </p><p>• Teacher Quality Institute registration.
