<p>This position has a focus on the operational and technical aspects of library and information work, with tasks and responsibilities that include:</p><p> </p><p>• Maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive Library environment for staff and students<br /></p><p>• Perform point of contact duties including circulation, student and staff assistance, and reference enquiries </p><p>• Supervision in the Library including before and after school </p><p>• Maintain a strong knowledge of print and online resources </p><p>• Engage in YA fiction resource management </p><p>• Process and catalogue library and department resources in OCLC Library Management System </p><p>• Promotion of library resources and services through posters and electronic displays </p><p>• Operating a wide range of digital technologies and platforms </p><p>• Troubleshooting access to digital textbooks for teachers and students </p><p>• Processing books, including covering </p><p>• Assist with weeding the collection and stocktake </p><p>• Shelving, printing and photocopying assistance </p><p>• Working independently and as part of the Library team </p><p>• Other duties as directed by Head of Library </p><p>Library Technicians hold an ALIA accredited Diploma in Library and Information Studies.<br /></p>
