We are seeking a School Counsellor to join our Wellbeing Team. Commencing in Term 3, 2024, this is a full-time, ongoing position.

<p>International Grammar School (IGS) is a vibrant, secular, coeducational school situated across five sites in Ultimo, Glebe and Kangaroo Valley. There are 1300 students from Preschool to Year 12 being educated in a unique bilingual environment. </p><p>We are seeking a School Counsellor to join our Wellbeing Team. Commencing in Term 3, 2024, this is a full-time, ongoing position. </p><p>This role calls for a dynamic and passionate psychologist to provide an evidence based counselling service to students. The school counsellors form an integral part of the student wellbeing team. Central to this role is the provision of support to students experiencing a variety of mental health, developmental and other learning or wellbeing issues; liaising with staff and parents; and assisting in the development and implementation of programs that boost the wellbeing of our students. </p><p>Essential Skills </p><p>The successful applicant will have: </p><p>• full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a minimum 2 year’s experience as a psychologist </p><p>• demonstrated experience in working with children and adolescents </p><p>• experience in managing a large and diverse caseload </p><p>• highly developed written and verbal communication skills </p><p>• demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse team, and to work independently. </p><p>Desirable Skills </p><p>• Experience in working in a school setting </p><p>• Experience in delivering group counselling programs to young people </p><p>Application Details: </p><p>To apply for this position, please visit our website, www.igssyd.nsw.edu.au </p><p>Here you will be able to review the Position Description and our Privacy Policy and learn more about International Grammar School.
