<p><b>Location:</b> Catholic Education Office, Wollongong</p><p dir="ltr">The Director of Schools, Diocese of Wollongong, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the Specialist Administrative Officer - Reception Services position. This is a full-time permanent position commencing as soon as possible.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The Finance, Facilities &amp; Planning team works directly with the full range of stakeholders across Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong to deliver both a best practice finance &amp; administrative service and to ensure our physical locations, facilities and buildings provide an innovative and fit-for-purpose environment that enables great learning and student outcomes across our 38 schools.</p> <p dir="ltr">Reporting to the Assistant Director - Finance, Facilities, and Planning, this position is responsible for providing support to the Manager of Administrative Services in relation to any building, administrative or event services.</p> <p dir="ltr">This includes:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Model Catholic values by providing a welcoming, cooperative and accessible service for Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong.&nbsp; Position requires a sophisticated understanding and commitment to the mission of Catholic Education within the evangelising mission of the Church</li> <li dir="ltr">Support the Manager Administrative Services in matters relating to head office building maintenance, utilities, and facilities. This role is required to identify and prioritise tasks on a daily basis and resolve building issues accordingly by liaising with external and internal stakeholders.</li> <li dir="ltr">Perform accounts processing including sourcing quotes from suppliers, generating purchase orders and invoice receipting</li> <li dir="ltr">Provide support when required to the travel coordinator</li> <li dir="ltr">Coordinate the process of setting up new head office staff with building access and site safety inductions</li> <li dir="ltr">Support the Manager Administrative Services with head office refurbishment projects&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">Maintain office meeting spaces to be professional, safe and of a high standard of presentation at all times, including the pack up and set up of the spaces as requested for events</li> <li dir="ltr">Provide administrative support to Reception Services staff and in the Finance, Facilities and Planning team as required</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To achieve success in the role, the successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrated experience in executing&nbsp; professional, effective and considerate customer service skills</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrated experience and willingness to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment with an ability to tackle complex problems and employ innovative solutions</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrated understanding of hospitality and/or building maintenance practices</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrated capacity to take initiative and follow through on tasks to timely completion</li> <li dir="ltr">High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills</li> <li dir="ltr">Proficient knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office and Google suite of applications as well as a demonstrated understanding&nbsp; of using&nbsp; accounting software</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Certificate IV qualification in a relevant discipline</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">This role is classified as child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>POSITION EXPRESSION OF INTEREST</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Applicants are asked to provide an up-to-date CV and a brief Cover Letter addressing the essential criteria of 1-2 pages (the dot points in the “About You” section of this advertisement).</p> <p dir="ltr">To confidentially discuss this position please contact Yvonne Keary on 4250 9000.</p> <p dir="ltr">To submit your application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Closing date: 21 April 2024 at 11.55pm</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
